Gravel beds open up countless design possibilities. They can be part of a larger bed or be enclosed by borders. The use of different sizes in combination with other materials and plants can create a very special atmosphere.
As a rule the maintenance of gravel beds is relatively unproblematic. Often it is sufficient to regularly remove leaves, branches or flowers. A gravel bed, which is in the sun and can dry well is more visually appealing than one that is constantly moist. Here mosses and lichens may grow on the stones.
